Hahoe Village ( 하회 마을 ) is a Unesco heritage site located near the Korean city of Andong. It still functions as a working neighborhood, and locals live there in traditional houses. The village is famous for being the birthplace of Talchum ( 탈춤 ), a traditional Korean mask dance and performance. Originally, as I took off on this road trip, I wasn’t planning on stopping by Hahoe. But, as it turned out, Andong was on the route home so I swung on by to check it out and snap some more photos. I was lucky enough that there just so happened to be a performance at the time, so I got to see the mask dance. I took some photos of it in black and white which you can check out in another post. Here, you can see a glimpse of the village at golden hour and sunset.
