I was really fortunate to be driving through Andong and the Hahoe Village at the time of a performance. I had no idea it was happening, and it was just blind luck. I’d wanted to see the Talchum ( 탈춤 ), a traditional Korean mask dance ever since I’d learned about it several years back. In the performance I watched, the female character ( a bride or 각시 ) tempts the monk into getting drunk and promiscuous. Good times! ㅋㅋ

Included in this post are shots of the performance, the local village and villagers, as well as some close up shots of Korean traditional houses. I really like the simple patterns and I hope you do too : )
