The Tonic of Wildness

“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because it’s unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
Henry David Thoreau

Mamiya RZ67 / Kodak Ektar 100 / double exposure / Anseong, South Korea

Time for me to stop looking at this screen and go outside to soak up some unfathomable nature : )

  1. I love this photograph! I don’t know how to explain how I feel when I see it – there’s this sense of sereneness, but also a type of mystery lingering in the background. Great job on capturing those feelings in a picture!
