Red Leaves, Light, and Lust

redleaveslightlust

Autumn is a season of contrasts. As the days grow dimmer, the leaves burn brighter. The leaves are red, passionate, lustful…almost as if they’re yearning for one last fling before winter winds whistle and howl over the frozen fields.

I’m working on a November series which will be uploaded soon enough. Until then, enjoy this nature scene of lusty red leaves. It was captured with a Mamiya RZ 67 on Kodak Ektar 100 film. Also, despite looking overly saturated and or photoshopped, this is a straight scan. I didn’t alter the photo in any form. I’m kind of wondering about the lighting of this shot because some of the other photos from the roll didn’t turn out so vibrant. Anyhow, enjoy! And let me know what the color red represents for you in the comments : ) Take care! © Patrick Bresnahan
