Korean Jindo Dogs

Korean Jindo Dogs

Here are a pair of Jindo Dogs out in the Korean countryside. Sadly, they are most often used as guards, chained up and quite immobile. Rarely have I seen one of these dogs out for a walk or chasing a tennis ball with its owner. Whereas small dogs are adored and pampered here as pets in Korea, the Jindo Dog is relatively utilitarian only. I wish to see more Jindos getting the love and care that all creatures need. To all my Korean guests, please take time to play with and cherish your large dogs! This photo here was captured with a Rolleiflex Automat A on Kodak Tmax 400 film, personally developed in the darkroom with D76. Enjoy. © Patrick Bresnahan
